Anthony Edwards Poster/Social Media Post | 8.5x11”

I designed this graphic as a self-initiated project featuring Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. My goal was to showcase my versatility as a designer and demonstrate the type of creative work I can produce for sports organizations—an industry I’m passionate about.

I approached this piece with the intention of making it adaptable across multiple formats, including social media posts, poster prints, and potential apparel graphics. To align the design with the Timberwolves’ branding, I utilized their signature palette of vibrant green and deep navy blue. I selected a range of expressive photos that capture Anthony Edwards’ bold, energetic, and charismatic presence, emphasizing him as the franchise player.

To give the piece a collectible feel, I incorporated elements inspired by classic NBA trading card aesthetics, including the player’s name and jersey number for added context and personality.

The final result allowed me to create something authentic to the team’s identity while highlighting my ability to work within the visual language of professional basketball—making it a strong example of the type of work I hope to contribute to sports design teams.

Ohana Salon Business Cards | 3.5”x2”

I designed and printed this business card set for Robin, a stylist and manager at Ohana Salon in Long Beach. Her goal was to create a card that was both functional and expressive of the salon’s Hawaiian-inspired identity. The front needed to include her key contact information—personal phone number, salon number, address, and a QR code linking directly to her online booking platform. The back required space for writing appointment dates and times so she could hand clients a physical reminder after scheduling.

To establish the Hawaiian theme, I began by selecting a typeface for the salon name that carried a subtle tropical personality. I paired it with a bright, ocean-inspired background color to evoke a beach-like atmosphere. For readability and contrast, I used a deeper blue for the text and aligned all contact details on the left for a clean, easy-to-scan layout. A secondary typeface was introduced for her personal information to create visual distinction from the salon name.

To reinforce the island aesthetic, I incorporated a floral Hawaiian pattern along the right side of the card. This not only grounded the theme but also created balance by visually offsetting the QR code placed above it. I added a soft pink border around the QR code to introduce a complementary accent color and bring warmth into the overall palette.

On the back of the card, I kept the layout minimal and functional, featuring lines for writing appointment details and a 24-hour cancellation reminder. The typographic choices mirror those used on the front to maintain cohesion between both sides.

The final design blends functionality with a strong thematic identity. Robin was extremely satisfied with the results and expressed interest in collaborating on future projects.

Turkish Grill Kebab A-Frame Sign | 24”x36”

I designed this A-frame sidewalk sign for Turkish Grill Kebab, a restaurant located on 2nd Street in Long Beach. With their high foot traffic, the client wanted a sign that would quickly capture attention and showcase the variety of food they offer.

My goal was to create a clean, visually balanced layout that could be easily read from a distance. Since most viewers would only glance at the sign for a moment while walking by, I emphasized clear hierarchy and large, appetizing images of the dishes.

To reflect the restaurant’s Turkish identity, I used warm brown tones paired with a light cream background for contrast, ensuring the text remained legible. The ornamental patterns and serif typeface were chosen to complement the cultural aesthetic while maintaining a modern, inviting look. The color contrast in the background also helped separate the main dishes from desserts and drinks, giving the menu structure and clarity.

The final design effectively communicated the restaurant’s offerings while aligning with its brand identity, resulting in an eye-catching display that draws in passing customers.

Legends Sports Bar ‘Blair Field’ Menu | 24”x36”

I designed this large format vinyl banner menu for Legends Sports Bar to showcase their food and drink offerings during Long Beach State’s ‘Dirtbags’ baseball games.

My goal with this project was to create a menu was easy to read, well spaced, and modern but with a classic american feel to compliment the baseball field environment. I achieved this through multiple design elements. For one it started with the layout. There were a lot of menu items to list so finding out how to properly display all of them according to the kind of food items they were, which order they should go in, and having the sizing be consistent was a big challenge in this project. The rounded rectangles helped solved this issue. It helped ot

Legends Sports Bar Poster Menu | 24”x36”

I designed this mounted poster menu for Legends Sports Bar to showcase their food and drink offerings during a special event celebrating the Long Beach Fire Department.

My goal was to create a clean, balanced layout that allowed guests to easily navigate the menu from top to bottom while keeping Legends’ branding front and center. Red was used prominently to align with both the Fire Department theme and Legends’ signature color palette—evoking boldness, warmth, and a classic American sports bar feel.

Maintaining a clear visual hierarchy was key to ensuring the viewer could quickly distinguish between sections, prices, and categories. Despite the challenge of fitting a large amount of information into a limited space, I developed a structure that remains visually appealing and true to Legends’ established brand identity.

Gondola Getaway Postcards | 5.5”x8.5”

I designed and printed this postcard for Gondola Getaway, a Long Beach business offering authentic gondola cruises through the Naples Canals in Belmont Shore.

The client wanted to recreate an existing postcard they hand to customers at the end of their cruise, featuring a printed photo of their experience that fits into the center once a slit is added. Since they didn’t want a complete redesign, I stayed true to their original layout while modernizing the overall look.

I incorporated new photos provided by the client and added a beveled edge to frame the central image, giving it a refined, picture-frame effect. I also updated the color palette with a red front finish to match the brand’s prominent use of red in their logo and branding.

For the back, I kept the green, white, and red color scheme as a nod to the Italian flag, honoring the Venetian inspiration behind Gondola Getaway’s cruises. The client also requested company information, cruise details, and a QR code that links to their website for easy access to reservations and additional information.

Jerry Schaefer Business Cards | 3.5”x2”

I designed and printed these business cards for Jerry Schaefer, an author, writer, and blogger published by ExpandJoy. Jerry wanted a card that felt professional but playful — something that would communicate his work and entice people to explore his books.

To achieve that balance I kept ExpandJoy’s signature orange as the primary accent color and used soft, rounded shapes to add depth and approachability. A clean sans-serif typeface reinforces a modern, readable layout while the angled shapes and layered panels introduce subtle three-dimensionality so the card doesn’t feel flat. The front highlights Jerry’s role and contact details; the back showcases his publisher and selected titles to spark curiosity and provide context.

The result is a polished, on-brand card that reflects both Jerry’s professional identity and the playful spirit of his publisher. The client was very satisfied with the final print.

Woof Walkers Business Cards | 3.5”x2”

I designed and printed these business cards for a client’s dog-walking business, Woof Walkers. The client provided the necessary information and gave me full creative freedom to develop the design concept.

My goal was to create something bright, friendly, and approachable—qualities that would help build trust and leave a strong first impression.

I achieved this through several design choices, starting with a bold yellow background that immediately draws attention and communicates warmth and positivity. The rounded, hand-drawn typeface complements the cartoon-style illustration of the dog walker, creating a cohesive and playful look. To reinforce the theme, I used a dashed line to symbolize walking while also separating the contact details from the company name. On the back, I incorporated paw prints as bullet points to subtly tie the design back to the brand’s focus on pets.

The final design successfully captured the approachable and trustworthy personality the client wanted to convey, helping them make a memorable impression with potential customers and stand out from competitors.

Domenico’s & Gondola Getaway Signage | 23”x23”

I designed this 23” × 23” sign for Domenico’s, one of the oldest restaurants in Long Beach, in collaboration with Gondola Getaway, a tourism-focused business offering gondola cruises through the canals of Naples Island in Belmont Shore. The goal was to create signage for display outside Domenico’s restaurant on 2nd Street that would promote their unique joint experience—an evening gondola cruise featuring food provided by Domenico’s.

To emphasize the collaboration, I used clear visual hierarchy and a bold, thick typeface to immediately grab the viewer’s attention. Because the sign would be viewed by pedestrians passing by the restaurant, legibility and instant readability were priorities. I selected a typeface that felt both fun and energetic, italicizing it to convey a sense of motion that ties into the movement of the gondola itself.

I structured the layout so the viewer could read the information naturally from top to bottom. All the key details about the collaboration—the experience, the included menu items, and a clear call-to-action with the booking phone number—were positioned along the left side for an easy visual flow.

For the background, I used a client-provided image from an actual cruise to authentically represent the experience. I edited the photo to create a painted, artistic effect that added texture and warmth while also simplifying the color blocks. This treatment allowed the text to stand out clearly and remain comfortable to read against the image.

The final design successfully promoted the partnership by blending both brands’ personalities into a single, eye-catching display that drew attention from foot traffic and conveyed the excitement of the Gondola Pizza Cruise.
